From Darwin to Perth

Our Trip in 24 Days – A Summery

In total we lived on the roads for about 11 months in Australia, a experience of a lifetime! Thousands of kilometres of sun, sand and surf, lazy sleepy beach towns, busy city metroples and funny hostel experiences lay behind us. Compared to our Trip at the East Coast, the West Coast is remote and silent. Like we use to say: "Same, Same, but different"

We had an amazing Trip, but we would like to share some things we would do different next time with you. But first some Facts and Figures of our Trip.

Facts and Figures West Coast Roadtrip

Days on the road: 24 days

Kilometers driven: 6.242 km

Total fuel costs: 1.650 $

Border Crossings: 1 (Nothern Territory to Western Australia)

Flat Tyres: 0

National Parks: 7

Bush Camping: 7

Things we would do different next time!

Stay longer in the north, especially on the Gibt River Road. Next time we would go up north to see the breathtaking Mitchel Falls and the top end of the Kimberly region.

We also recommend to stay longer in Broome we just had two days and would love to stay longer next time.

In generell we would say, stay as long as you can in the northern part of Western Australia, because after the Karijini National Park and Exmouth there is not much to see and the weather will change dramatically at this time of the year (August).

Overall we had an amazing trip and we enjoyed every second of it!

We would like to thank Dan and Boomerang Campers once again, for this amazing experience and the awesome car. We enjoyed discovering unbeaten 4WD-Tracks with it and thanks to the rooftop tent sleeping everywhere we wanted.

So if you want to do a trip like we did, don't hesitate to ask us or Boomerang Camper for more Information.
